I called in on the off chance of seeing the Owlets 06/07/10, I had not seen them for a couple of weeks. It was quite surprising to see one sat on the bench in he rear garden.
I took the one quick photo from the gate and noticed it had a problem with its wing. as I approached it scurried off into the small unused outbuilding.
Both adults were in the trees above watching. I have reported this to the staff and they will by now have had a vet tend to the bird!
Please keep me informed of the outcome!
If the Owlet has been taken into care will it be possible for me to see it and keep a photo record in my diary (Flickr) as I have been doing since the 19th April when they were snapped leaving the hollow?
Regards
John :-)
For viewing or photography right place right time is everything. I'd rather be in the right place with poor kit than have the best kit and be in the wrong place.
I was in at the weekend and it seems the Injured Owlet had to be put to sleep, very sad.
One adult was still around and last time I saw them the bigger two Owlets were doing fine.
John :-( :-)
