HAPPY NEW WEEK!
I hope everyone has a good week.
I don't have any wildlife stories to share this week. We've had snow and 60 mph winds last night, and tonight we've been warned of dangerous arctic cold settling in. The "feels like" temperature (sub-zero temp plus wind chill) is predicted to be near 25 below zero Fahrenheit. That's 32 below zero Celcius. All of the wildlife have gone to their burrows, nests, and other shelter to try to stay warm. We've been warned that power outages are possible, and the extreme cold will stay around through the week. I'm going to read the novel "Project Hail Mary", which I've had for awhile but haven't read yet. I bought a second arctic sleeping bag for the bed and also some thick, fleece slipper socks and some flip-top gloves.
Hugs to all of you!
ANNETTE - If RUSTY was posting while she was eating out. . . RUSTY - Only teasing, please keep me entertained with your wonderful lifestyle.
What greeted us this morning. Not forecast for our part of the UK!
Sending to you, AQ!
Annette and Lindy - unlike you, AQ and others, I only have myself to think about so can make time to post etc. Also, I didn’t have to cook yesterday evening either. Don’t mind you teasing, I like it!!!!
We have a slight powdering of snow here. I am waiting for my hairdresser to arrive. As she comes from Wrexham I will ask how the roads are as I was hoping to visit my friend this afternoon who is in hospital there. I haven’t been able to go since before Christmas as the ward has been closed due to norovirus. I have gathered books, toiletries, cards, notes etc from various friends to take. I think it’s not so much the roads as the pavements I might have to worry about. I suspect they may be very icy and it’s quite a walk from my usual parking spot to the hospital. (Can never find a spot in the actual car park!!!)
Powdering of snow in my garden this morning,
Had a walk in Aldeburgh this morning and came back via Thorpeness and the Meare was frozen solid
