HAPPY NEW WEEK/MONTH EVERYONE!
Family here.....it's pizza tonight.
Sorry if I worried anyone, but it was a strange morning yesterday-- I awoke realising right away that I had caught my OHs bad head cold. I was streaming and sneezing constantly. After my OH left for his golf, I decided to enjoy my porridge and then have a nice shower. I stood naked in the bathroom and pressed the switch -- nothing. It was totally dead. I had a wipe down with a sponge for the 3rd time (at least I'd had a shower the night before when it was working). I had another hot drink then decided that at least I'd get something done that day. I dragged the ironing board into the dining room and plugged in the steam iron. I put the TV there onto the Wimbledon tennis matches. After about 30 minutes I was very tired as I can't stand for long, & my constantly running nose was such a nuisance. Then the tennis was rained off! I sat down & changed the TV channel. Nothing. After trying various things, realised that all I could get was BBC1, BBC2 & the BBC Children's channel. <sigh> Retuned the TV 3 times. No difference. Began watching the re runs of the tennis. Meanwhile, some rusty sort of marks were emanating from the steam iron...... Gave up on the ironing. My OH returned & fought with the TV. Couldn't sort it out. I told him about the problem with the shower (recently repaired). He looked at it & announced that it had tripped the fuse again. I was resting by now, but glad to hear that it was only the fuse, although we still dont know why it keeps tripping. Later, he fiddled with the aerial on the TV and something seems to have gone right but we still don't know why!! In the afternoon I had a rest after all the frustrations, only to be woken up twice by the phone, both times with unwanted calls Gggrrr .....
Today, we have a working shower, a doubtful TV, and an iron I'll have to throw away. And my nose has been running like a tap for 24 hours. I needed to have a moan!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

There's more to come - and Lindy is going to get quite excited about one or two of them! They'll be towards the end, though.
