So, we now enter August knowing that we will only have the pleasure of watching this beautiful family all together for a limited number of weeks. Both LP8 and LR0 have transformed into two strong, independent individuals. Their attentive parents have continued to provide for and nurture them and this, in turn, has given the juveniles a basis to continue their growth into full adulthood, wherever they decide to settle during the next couple of years.Last season, NC0 began her southerly migration on the 22nd August; Laddie on the 25th (these dates were their last webcam sightings). We can only hope that all of the 2022 family have safe, unhindered journeys to warmer climes, aided by fair winds as well as an abundance of fish along the way, and that we will welcome Laddie and NC0 back to this stunning Loch of the Lowes location in the spring of 2023.

LR0 flew off from the perch at 17:35 after sounding off a loud bout of fish calling
19:25 It's been ENS since then. One (I assume) on the birch
At around 20:10ish, there was loud vocal activity from LR0 on the birch, as if there was a fish on its way to being delivered. Maybe he had seen Laddie? However, LR0 didn't arrive at the nest until 20:25ish, screeching all the way from the birch
Fish calling on landing
A short period of just looking around
More calling...
...before heading back to the birch at 20:32ish
His reflection shows a clearer view
LR0 flapped over to his birch perch to roost on at 20:38ish - still vocalising
Just prior to night cam coming on at 21:10 - all quiet
Morning all,
LP8 is 100 days old, LR0 is 98 days old
Both were together on the perch at 6:15 (LP8 on the right)
8:05 LR0, with his raspy tones, was calling for fish while on the cam post. He then flew off to the birch
He's still there present (8:16)
The Big100 for LP8! . Looking back, it was on this day that last year’s LR1 started his migration.
EDIT - LR2
Did you mean LR2, Glider?
10:29 LP8 arrived onto the perch. LR0 still calling on the cam post (he had left and returned there a couple of times after 10:13)
After much preening, resting and taking in the surroundings while on the perch, LP8 flew off to the birch at 11:14
Still there at 11:35
*I don't know if LR0 is still on the cam post (no fish calling heard). No sighting of Laddie to the nest as yet
*Edit: LR0 left the cam post at 10:48ish. He flew high over the birch area, turned left and went out of view

Oops, yes I do mean LR2 starting his migration last year Sandra, LR1 was long gone!!
I’ve edited it to be correct.
Yes Glider, LR1 even went before NC0 last season
18:13 A great tit was foraging
18:22 I've been checking the cam throughout the day. I've not seen any Osprey visits to the nest since LP8 flew off to the birch this morning
