So, we now enter August knowing that we will only have the pleasure of watching this beautiful family all together for a limited number of weeks. Both LP8 and LR0 have transformed into two strong, independent individuals. Their attentive parents have continued to provide for and nurture them and this, in turn, has given the juveniles a basis to continue their growth into full adulthood, wherever they decide to settle during the next couple of years.Last season, NC0 began her southerly migration on the 22nd August; Laddie on the 25th (these dates were their last webcam sightings). We can only hope that all of the 2022 family have safe, unhindered journeys to warmer climes, aided by fair winds as well as an abundance of fish along the way, and that we will welcome Laddie and NC0 back to this stunning Loch of the Lowes location in the spring of 2023.

12:56 Both have been fish shouting while holding tight on the nest - gosh, the wind is extremely gusty!
Fish from Laddie at 12:58 - taken by LP8 then LR0 snatched it!
LR0 went in for the steal
LP8's talons were still firmly gripped into the fish and got dragged across the nest
Success for LR0
LR0 tucking in
LR0 flew off with his fish at 13:13. He made a few contact calls before leaving. Perhaps the windy conditions on the nest were the reason for him doing so?
LP8 remained on the nest but then flew off at 13:43
14:20 LP8 on the nest after returning at 13:56
14:37 LP8 shot off the nest when a VERY loud jet flew over!
5:35 LP8 on the nest, LR0 on the cam post - both shouting for fish!
There was a fish delivery from Laddie at 18:34 and a mad scramble from both juvies to get to it first. LP8 won and kept hold of it this time - LR0 did not make an attempt to steal it
Time to eat
18:43 LP8 was enjoying its meal when there was a sudden gust of wind. After spreading its wings, the wind carried the youngster upwards and away, the remainder of the fish in its talons
A headless fish from Laddie to LR0 at 19:22
LP8 could be seen flying towards the nest
LP8 didn't appear on the nest, headed below it instead
Probably due to being bothered by a crow while eating, LR0 flew off with his fish at 19:24
