So, we now enter August knowing that we will only have the pleasure of watching this beautiful family all together for a limited number of weeks. Both LP8 and LR0 have transformed into two strong, independent individuals. Their attentive parents have continued to provide for and nurture them and this, in turn, has given the juveniles a basis to continue their growth into full adulthood, wherever they decide to settle during the next couple of years.Last season, NC0 began her southerly migration on the 22nd August; Laddie on the 25th (these dates were their last webcam sightings). We can only hope that all of the 2022 family have safe, unhindered journeys to warmer climes, aided by fair winds as well as an abundance of fish along the way, and that we will welcome Laddie and NC0 back to this stunning Loch of the Lowes location in the spring of 2023.

19:03 Both were on the nest, LR0 still with the tail end of the fish, LP8 resting (LP8 had left the nest earlier at 17:23 but then returned at 18:50ish)
LR0 gave up with the fish tail (mainly just the fin remained)
He stepped on it and it went between two sticks
Guess who showed itself?! That was a cheeky take!
LP8 was not amused!

LR0 left the nest and landed on the birch at 19:05
19:36 LP8 having a quick doze
Two fully satisfied juvies...until the next fish arrives! lol
Hmm, like now! 19:41 Laddie with a small headless fish - LP8 quick to take! LR0 didn't move from the birch
Laddie left the nest...
... flew over the birch and away
19:47 There's always room for more!
At 20:30, LP8 only had a small tail end of the fish remaining. Unsure if it was intentional or not, but it flicked out of its beak and dropped over the edge of the nest
What goes in...
A wing flap
A quick look and gave a few contact calls too...
...and headed off at 20:32
After a quick flight around the Loch close to the the birch, LP8 landed on the left hand perch
21:00 Its been ENS since then
Sandra P said:I could hear another Osprey calling (sounded like it was above the cam). Was it from another webcam you were recording at the time? Edit 2: Just watched the Lowes footage, yes it was from another webcam.
It's a bit late now, but I'm not recording anything else on that screen but maybe Clywedog suddenly came alive in the background - SORRY!

The cam's been buffering repeatedly but I think, fingers crossed, it's settled down now.
IMAGICAT
16 August
A very quiet morning compared to yesterday, but someone was flexing their wings on the birch:
They're still there now, and no-one has yet been to the nest...
...except this guy just appeared:
He scarpered when this one arrived:
Patience generously rewarded!
Morning Scylla and all, Oh my, what a fabulous headless fish from Laddie! LP8 was in the right place, at the right time to receive that!
7:10 LR0 waiting for his share
I've had sound muted so didn't hear Sib arrive on the campost - don't expect s/he was there very long before making his/her presence felt:
