Glider said:Aw what a shame, it was a decent fish too, poor Laddie - he should’ve eaten it al!! NC0’s stomach must be rumbling now!
Morning Glider, Yes, such a shame but at least she had supper yesterday evening. NC0 didn't appear to have her talons fully into the fish after she took it from Laddie this morning.

11:04 There's an intruder around. Laddie to the nest, chipping/mantling
Laddie chipping
No threat seen and Laddie flew off after his 5 minute stay

12:20 At present, Laddie is on the nest with NC0 - she is fish calling and he doesn't appear to be listening! lol
12:24 NC0 went off for a break. Laddie had been on the nest for 10 minutes at this point
Laddie went straight to the eggs. Perhaps that was his plan after all!
12:45 NC0 returned to the nest, the second time since leaving (the first time she brought in a twiggy stick). Chipping and alarm calling from Laddie
Both scanning the sky
More chipping from Laddie
NC0 lay low next to him as he began to rise from the eggs
She settled on the eggs, Laddie stood to the side
He made a contact call to NC0 then flew from the nest at 12:53ish
Lol, Glider! Maybe Laddie could protect NC0 like that on rainy days!
Another set of alarm calls/chipping at 13:50, this time from NC0
She was quiet but on alert
Laddie came to the nest
NC0 chipping
Nc0 chipping/alarm calling
Laddie flew off
13:54 NC0 was still 'upset' just after Laddie had flown
More chipping
She stood up
Flapped her wings, more out of giving them a stretch rather than at an intruder
Back to the eggs
Both on alert/looking skyward at 14:59
Off he went again
15:07 He came back to the nest
Both clearly not happy and scanned the sky
NC0 began to fish call
He headed off
