Start of a new year so start of a new thread.
I have changed the title slightly.
It could be a momentous year when, hopefully, our resident Ospreys return.

I was just going to post this picture, but see Scylla has done a glitchy video. I doubt the Nightjars will return without the perch, but I may be wrong.
Maybe BofPH will replace it.
BoPH Mod on Chat has seen that the perch is gone but says that (probably) nothing will be done till the end of the season.
And the Ravens continue to entertain - another KITKAT! This one nearly went down the youngster's gullet but parent withdrew and planted it on the nest - soon took it away:
Over 3 hours later some of the KitKat was brought back and planted again. Not doing any more videos, good night!

Me too, very much so - am about to trawl thru the night so far...
Flying insects for hours, then rain from about 01:30 onwards, no Nightjar but it didn't like the rain anyway:
We'll have to wait for a dry night for a final verdict - but predict that this will be the end of Nightjars in Dorset for ever - do you think that might persuade them to come out with a ladder?
The spider is still thriving:

I don't care what you say, RICHARD - this, this morning, was a Siberian Stonechat
16 May
Just after midnight, a 5-minute downpour with lightning:
Naturally I tore off to check on CJ7! If I'd known what an almost non-event it looked on that cam I'd've added some of #1 on the video - it looks as tho CJ7 took it in her stride but the cam went down @ 00:33.
(I had to record from rollback and kept knocking me dang trackball so that popups appeared - you know, progs that are in the taskbar.)
Birdies LG DU update.
Both doing fine after the storm - here they're about to change over - got both heads in, yay!
