  • Just a thought

Those who bring sunshine into the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves. (J M Barrie)

  • The rest of my Rutland Water photos can now be seen here.

Our herring gulls are red listed birds.  Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

  • A bit grey here, but it could brighten later as it did yesterday.

Spent a lot of yesterday in contact with Sue, who has had not one but two family crisis at once.... one of them her son (aged late 40s) went over the handlebars of his bicycle when far from home, and had to wait hours for an ambulance before hospital admission, whereupon he was told he'd put out his shoulder & broken his collarbone. Back home last night with wife, then today admitted to more local hospital for an operation to put him back together. Not much sleep for anyone last night.

Other problem can't be discussed here, but an ongoing thing which seems never-ending.
  • Oh dear, poor Sue and all the rest of the family of course. Hope his op goes well.
  • Thank you, dibnlib. I'll relate how things went, tomorrow.

Just got back from eating out -- it's my birthday today so my OH took me out to dinner. Had chicken with pepper sauce, followed by choc brownie & icecream. My OH had a delish plate of slow cooked lamb with cranberry gravy, followed by apple & raspberry crumble & custard.

We're getting ready to go home again tomorrow, as my OH has golf again on Thursday and Friday.
  • Saw this busy worm catcher this morning, on the estuary.

  • Happy Birthday Lindy. Not much left of the day now, so I will also say Many Happy Returns.
Glad you had a nice meal.

Sorry to hear about poor Sue's family problems. I hope her son makes a good recovery.
  • Lindybird! Happy Belated b/day.  Oooh - apple and raspberry crumble! Yum.

  • Happy birthday LINDA.

First day of Spring. Sun is shining, mid-pm temp is 27 C, spring bulbs blooming (iris, scillies, daffys, anenomes, bluebells, weeds).

  • Warning. I have an attitude problem and I know how to use it.

The more people I meet the more I like my cat.

Once in a while someone amazing comes along. . . and here I am (t shirt)
