From little 'fluff balls' to almost fully grown ospreys, LR1 and LR2 are doing amazingly well all thanks to the fantastic ongoing care from NC0 and Laddie (LM12). Not only have we seen Laddie providing fish for his family but NC0 has been successful several times just recently as well - what first-class parents they are! There continues to be the occasional intrusion from ospreys passing through, however, the nest and chicks have been protected outstandingly. We look forward to the next exciting phase in the young ospreys' development.

20:15 A successful dive from NC0! She returned with a small fish
Once LR1 and LR2 had been fed, she head back to her same spot on the birch

20:34 Another dive! Unsuccessful this time.
She took her usual route back to the nest but then reappeared flying over the Loch and back to the birch
20:45 Laddie to the nest with a fish. NC0 in hot pursuit!
He flew past the back of the nest. NC0 had already began her flight
She landed just prior to Laddie
LR2 did eventually join his sister and NC0 but didn't appear to eat this time around
Laddie brought another fish in at 20:53ish
Laddie's flight away (far left)
21:12 Two very satisfied young ospreys in the lovely evening light
21:22 Laddie with a large, 'live' fish. NC0 flew from the birch to the nest again to retrieve the flapping fish
21:41 NC0 continues to feed LR1 after LR2 had decided he'd had enough
21:33 LR1 joined her brother. NC0 feeding herself

So what could be more fitting than an unsuccessful video? First, I now realise I didn't start early enough to capture NC0's catch. Then, I cropped the first few dives but it didn't "take" because I saved it with the uncropped parts attached. Oh well, crops always looks so fuzzy anyway...
