From little 'fluff balls' to almost fully grown ospreys, LR1 and LR2 are doing amazingly well all thanks to the fantastic ongoing care from NC0 and Laddie (LM12). Not only have we seen Laddie providing fish for his family but NC0 has been successful several times just recently as well - what first-class parents they are! There continues to be the occasional intrusion from ospreys passing through, however, the nest and chicks have been protected outstandingly. We look forward to the next exciting phase in the young ospreys' development.
You're more than welcome, Karen. Thank you for your kind words
Super start to the month, thank you, SANDRA
This was the scene not long ago - well, there were 2 younguns there as well but they got cut off in the interest of art
NC0 has flown now, it's daycam and one of the kids is up preening and the other is crouched over, engrossed in some mystery activity.

Little vid of breakfish delivery, mainly for NC0's performance:
Couldn't get a very good view:
Morning Scylla (and all)
Thanks for the breakfish vid, NC0 is such a determined female!
A second breakfish was delivered at 6:45ish

8:16 A third fish from Laddie
Off to work. BFN
A round up of events since this morning. There have been two further fish deliveries from Laddie but in between those, NC0 had to defend during a fairly prolonged intrusion (all timings are approximate)
12:05 Laddie with a fish
12:20+ NC0 stopped the feed and silently mantled/flapped her wings
She then began to chip/alarm call. LR1 and LR2 flattened
The intruder showed itself after flying over the nest (top, right)
There were instances of NC0 mantling/alarm calling but have just added pics of the intruder
Flying away (far left of pic)
Once it had gone, NC0 recommenced the feed
13:07 Fish delivery
16:54 It's quite windy at Lowes. A long, thin stick (seen in pics above) that was dangling on the left side of the outer part of the nest, fell with a clatter. The noise didn't bother LR1 (left) or LR2
17:06 LR1 and LR2 (right) looking up to NC0 (I assume) sitting above the cam
19:22 Laddie arrived with a fish
NC0, who had been sitting on the birch, made her way back to the nest
19:51 Another delivery from Laddie. It did appear to be headless and if so, that was good going from Laddie to have caught, eat his share and bring the remainder to the nest
Laddie's crop appeared to be full
