No Cresties yet - I checked dawn, cos in the old days they used to be first and last in, but I'm wondering if this is the wrong time of year.

Is it me or has the guy in the orange jacket gone under the tape? I hope there are volunteers on site protecting the nest against 'human intruders'.The last thing you need when trying to get a breeding pair on the nest is human interference.
As to the cresties..... If memory serves correct many females will already be on eggs, which reduces the size of the population looking for food by 50% at this time of year. Give it another month and the adults wiull be accompanying the fledged young to the feeders. Much better chance of seeing them.

Well, you know I can't resist a puzzle. I found this from 18 March 2019. But it's taken a month earlier, it ain't at the feeder, but it is at Loch Garten, and it's yours!

None of the birds we're especially interested in... so far today.
Both cams went down a bit after 22:20 last night (up to which time, no birdies at all, not even a goodnight Crestie).
