Something here doesn't quite sound right, and not many details are being released. There are no dwellings in that area, so was it a controlled burn, or scrub waste being burned, that got out of control?

Many thanks Richard. I guess there are a number of possible reasons. A BBQ fire that got out of control, wild camping? Hopefully a cause will be found and ways to prevent a recurrence put in place.

Thank you, SHEILA Talk about sod's law! Yesterday I decided to close my Poole Harbour tab so's to make Firefox less crowded.
I've had a scroll back thru to startup and we don't seem to have missed any significant visitors. It doesn't look as tho they've done any nestorations, I dare say they think that would be a waste of effort with the winter to get thru
