As this could to be a monumental year, with the possibility of the first breeding Ospreys in Poole for a very long time, and the chance of more relocated birds returning I thought we might as well start off a new thread.

I did not know about that - amazing! :o
As for the big surprise this morning - I was thinking "I bet there's been excitement going on while you're away with the fairies" ;)
Here's a video of CJ7 laying her egg - it was a longer labour than I've given the impression of, but it was quite low key, no "grunts" could be heard over the wind.
The reveal @ 03:35_07 :-*
PS - See what I'm like, ALISON !!! ;)

An interesting video Scylla and in many ways quite sad. I guess its getting close for LS7 to return for them to produce fertile eggs now.

Probably best not to speculate anyway as the site is supposed to be 'secret'.
Great video, scylla! I thought I could hear one or two little squeaks from her just before laying.
I have to agree with Alison and Richard. It might be safer to just remove the question Tony?
EDIT:- Thank you Tony. Despite the problems this morning!!!! (1/5/) I have managed to acknowledge your change.
Birdies LG DU update.
Great blog about the egg.

Kind regards, Ann
This was CJ7 this morning when she returned to her egg - some puzzlement?
To our surprise, the egg survived all day - CJ returned late at night to check on it:
