Well, you've done it again. My first smile of the day! Thank you thank you thank you.
What a riot. One real piggy on the end, and the last very prim and careful eater even with a strand of banana on his head.

Thanks for capturing this scylla and for the slo-mo too. Maybe it was just a sprain.

Daisy the Pacific Black Duck with eggs on the WBSE Sydney nest
I had started downloading the Twitch-hosted long view cam as back-up but it's seldom manned... anyway, the nestcam in particular is quite difficult to focus on when the wind is up (which is quite often) because the cam is not in the same tree, so the unco-ordinated movements of the cam tree and the nest tree make for a very shaky/sway-y view!
Feather 'n down duvet:
She got dissuaded off the eggs by one of the eagles' approach but returned in the evening and was still there in the early hours when the cam went down:
She must have left shortly after the cam went down, the Twitch cam came back up and I found a brushtail possum intruding:
Daisy came back quite early in the morning and resumed incubation:
None of the above Daisy Duck videos will play on this page, they're OK on YouTube. Never mind :-/
