And now have got lots of 1h57m files piling up :-/ So it's switched off again.
To cheer us up, especially TEEJAY - here's a rather different WOODPECKER :))) Courtesy of Arlene Beech:

I've done a kinda rollback on the Stump cam and see that lots more bits 'n pieces have been stuffed down and on top of the slat, so have recorded some excerpts but there was a lot of buffering and now I've got to try to edit them...
In the meantime, a few snaps from Ohio.
One minute the area was empty, then the sparrows descended:
The jay at the back was sitting peacefully:
When it was suddenly dislodged by one of its kin - totally unprovoked :o
None of the Stump I recorded off rollback is any good, I can't edit it and it's full of buffers and freezes and even the snaps look awful.
This was a pine cone on its way to the slat:
This was a spider who wandered in and wandered around looking totally lost, and ended up climbing the far wall and out of sight:

I can't help but I'll highlight it so's to attract an expert eye ;)
Apparently the most common woodpecker in Texas is the Ladder-backed but this one doesn't look right, I think the head attitude is making it look quite domed, too, which could be misleading? - I looked for the video you might have got your snap from, no luck. But I did find another one with a lovely shot of a Ladder-backed's top-of-head:
Looks like a female Downy or Hairy .... Is this in Ohio or Texas?

West Texas, LISA - KORKY had strayed ;)
I am awaiting the albatross hatching in NZ later this month. Then we'll get 8-9 months of nestling behaviour. That will of course be interrupted by the return of the osprey (an osprey? any osprey? more than one osprey?) at LG. Stay confident!
