Yesterday was the DAY we have all been waiting for. EJ welcomed a strapping young male in the early morning hours (scylla's video), and they set about establishing practices of nookie, fish delivery, nestcupping, and stickifying. Especially endearing is this male's habit of posing for the camera, a trait we had come to identify with dear Odin. This may be the auspicious sign that he will prevail for EJ and for the nest. Here is the MAN OF THE HOUR as captured by Moffer and by Clare, respectively.Head shots for ID thoughtfully provided by BNN here.RSPB Facebook also reported in about EJ's new beau.
Dark and sounding slightly drippy on the nest at present.© RSPB - Loch Garten and Carnyx Wild_______________________________________The Daily Update thread is for recording nest events only—any questions or conversations can happen on the Osprey Chat thread. Thank you!

Hi Peter (I presume)... thank you for prompt attention at ungodly hour! :)
Maybe it was the Pine Marten getting its own back ;)
IMAGICAT
Quite a bit of light. I've got my ears peeled (?!) for squeals from the sky ;)
DAYCAM 05:44hr - and not a sound or a sighting yet:
Surely I must have missed something?!
Brighter, but still empty and quiet:
Good morning, MC. You miss something....never!
Birdies LG DU update.
I just posted an ENS snap that took me to Page2, but no pages are now showing at the bottom of Page1 (had to come back here in case MARY or other BC member had posted at the bottom)...
So I'm having to post this to get to Page2 !!!

Good morning, MIKE, great to have you back :)
I keep thinking I should somehow give MOFFER an alarm call, as we need her distant flyby-spotting expertise ;)
Thank you MC. Good to be back in the 'routine' for BC.
Morning Scylla and Mike. What a quiey start. How strange, Where are they?
