The season so far:
33(11) and Maya both arrived back within hours of each other on the 22nd March. Maya laid three eggs on the 4th, 7th, 10th April and surprised us all laying a fourth egg on the 13th April. The first chick hatched on the 12th May followed by #2 on the 13th, #3 on the 16th and #4 on the 18th. Sadly two of the chicks died, chick #2 on the 15th May and chick #4 died not long after hatching.
So four was not to be, but Maya and 33(11) have two strong, healthy chicks and 33(11) is once again proving himself to be an excellent provider. Throughout this month we will see them transform into beautiful young juvenile ospreys and learn of their sexes and IDs when they are ringed later in the month.

Hi MIKE
As temperatures are due to climb again today I took this shot as all four are 'panting' or Gular fluttering as the purists would say.

Birdies LG DU update.
Good afternoon all . Thankyou all for the wonderful pics and updates. Especially love the Mary sunrise! Those chicks are growing at a frightening pace! It wont be long before they are fledging! Growing up too quicklt!
Thanks everyone for all the updates.
Nice to see you back Mary. Hopefully there will be a nice sunrise soon :-)
Willow, I know they are huge. I've not been on for a couple of days and I can see the difference.
I am surprised they are not ringed yet .. perhaps tomorrow?
Few minutes ago, 33 arrived with the tail end of a fish. Tussle between Maya and one of the chicks - the chick got it but I think Maya let it :-D
but then Maya moved in for it
and the other chick took it LOL Maya once more got it and ate herself then fed some to the chicks.
Maya now cleaning up

Dread them being ringed in some ways, as they are closer to adulthood, and migrating :( Bet great to see them doing so well and developing into beautiful ospreys
Maya acting as a sunshade
Patily, Maya has been doing a great job shading the chicks in 31c heat. What a great osprey she is.
I've been reading back and there have been a couple of updates from Kayleigh which i don't think have been posted.
Link to >>>> All together now - nice to see some wing flapping.
Link to >>>> Cheeky chicks - they aren't half !! Couple of shots of them lunging at 33 and pecking Maya! Also interesting that Kayleigh mentions that it wont be long until they are ringed and more on that tomorrow!
Link to >>>> Will you still feed me - sadly, no mention about ringing but contains some nice shots of the chicks feeding themselves.
