The season so far:
33(11) and Maya both arrived back within hours of each other on the 22nd March. Maya surprised us this year by laying four eggs on the 4th, 7th, 10th and 13th April. Currently both adults are taking turns to incubate the eggs which are expected to hatch in the second/third week in May.

Hi Karen. How weird that yesterday Maya kept checking the eggs, and today not at all... oh, well, they know better. 33 Just turned them and he's again incubating/sleeping.

It is weird Noc. And as for the weather - where is the sun that was forecast? But as you say, they know best. BTW, same at the Lowes, not much happening there either!
At least the cameraman is ready to zoom in as soon as the eggs are shown! (they are playing with the zoom right now)
Not my day. I keep writing things that then I have to retract.
The cameraperson is NOT ready to zoom in when the eggs are left exposed.
Probably just testing NOC. Very much staff dependant if the Centre is busy with visitors.
Birdies LG DU update.
Quick check on things and see it is 33 incubating just now

Missed her arrival but Maya has returned and incubating now. Her underneath is looking a little wet, probably been dragging/cleaning her feet in the water.

There was comment yesterday Karen on a thread suggesting that they may do that also in order to cool the lower part of their body to regulate the heat on the eggs.
She has just checked the eggs. I couldn't see anything...

Yes, it seemed like they were testing the zoom. BTW, I'm not complaining at all about the camera/staff. I was rather pointing out that I keep writing stupid things! :-)
