The season so far:
33(11) and Maya both arrived back within hours of each other on the 22nd March. Maya surprised us this year by laying four eggs on the 4th, 7th, 10th and 13th April. Currently both adults are taking turns to incubate the eggs which are expected to hatch in the second/third week in May.

As expected, Maya does not rise and 33 flies up to the campost.
Bobblehead is already poking its head up from under mums breast to get a look at the big wide world.

33 has arrived with a clod. Maya gets up. 33 stays a little then flies off. Maya is pulling at the fresh hay while the chick and eggs enjoy some air

Good afternoon all. Not been here a while as so busy lately but was so happy to see a bobblehead hatched! Well done Karen for being so observant and just to make my day even better i see that S1 has returned! These were the first chicks we had seen soon after fledging, What a great day! :) Of course I am delighted when any youngster returns for the first time. Thankyou all for the wonderful pics and updates!The real hard work begins for dear 33 but Im sure hell cope just fine :)

WILLOW - good to see you and yes it is fantastic S1 is back. No doubt about 33's genes. Now for S2 and S3- hope to see them too.
