The season so far:
33(11) and Maya both arrived back within hours of each other on the 22nd March. Maya surprised us this year by laying four eggs on the 4th, 7th, 10th and 13th April. Currently both adults are taking turns to incubate the eggs which are expected to hatch in the second/third week in May.

Morning Jane .. yes it is exciting, very :-)
I hope when the VC opens that they zoom the cam in and leave it so we get a close up of the eggs to watch.

Nothing is happening here... either my livestream is frozen, or Maya is not even getting up for a flap every now and then. PS It's not frozen, it's just to say that she's not moving and turning the eggs as she did yesterday.
Maya rises and check the eggs.
Now flown off for hopefully just a quick comfort break.
Instead Blue 33 arrives, checks the eggs
and then settles down to incubate
The moment I wrote the above, Maya left and 33 arrived to incubate... :-/
Hi Noc, I agree - there is nothing much happening here! I am working in the garden and watching from a distance so on/off throughout the day.
I still laugh at 33 when he looks at the eggs. Perhaps he is calculating how many more fish he will have to bring in this season:-D
