HAPPY NEW WEEK and HAPPY FULL MOON (on Friday).
Last week's Chat thread is here.
I meant to tell you all this story.Early last week, during the very high winds, I had to go north for groceries. I was unloading my shopping and struggling to walk in the gales. I saw R.T. Hawk and his pale mate (the red-tailed hawk pair) riding the thermals together. R.T. started to glide over the creek toward town, and then he saw me watching him. He circled all the way back and flew right toward me. He turned into the wind and pumped his wings, so that he was hovering in one place right above me. He looked at me in the eyes for several seconds! Then he turned and flew on his way. I don't know what made him fly over to see me.I haven't seen any hawk juveniles around this year.

I enjoyed it, too, Heather - they looked like a normal, happy family.
George, lovely to hear from you and glad that you are getting out and about doing different things. Hope you enjoyed your dinner out.
OG - glad you enjoyed your lunch out it sounded yummy. Sorry to learn that the local group of the NT for Scotland has had to close due to lack of support.
Talking about colds/coughs, I've had this cough which I'm pretty certain was viral for nigh on 4 wks now although it is fading. I don't normally do coughs/colds and this one started out of the blue. Pretty certain its due to not having enough cold weather to kill of these germs that are lingering.

OG hope that hand has recovered and well done to getting the gardening done. OH managed to do the lawns yesterday and today. We are leaving the gym for a couple of weeks as he doesn't see the doc till next Thursday and will have his stitches out then. They had to put in a skin graft so took some from his neck for it. He is finding the ear quite sore now but time will heal.
Annette - so pleased that you have enjoyed meeting up with your sister and b.i.l. again. Memories made and have a safe trip home.
Keth, what a lovely tribute to Her Majesty. Taped the walkabout and watched some of it this afternoon. Tribute tonight by the family with many archive film was great. Shows the human element as well as the serving her country one.
AQ - sounds as though you had a bit of a nightmare with the "kids" or more precise MissL. but grandpa saved the day.
Glad you had a good trip out with your friend.
Love and hugs to Margo, still thinking about her and OH supporting her.
Lindybird - love those of grandchildren.
Clare - all the best for the start of your new job.
Not a Prince fan but sad at the death of Victoria Wood - they did a tribute to her on BBC 2 tonight and we picked it up half way through - very good.
Home!!!
Good Morning. Just well, sort of cloudy, here.
Good to see that Annette is safely home after her exciting family gathering. Rest now, Annette!
Sorry that your OH is enduring a rather painful ear, Lynette.
Hope that OG's hand is less painful now....
Thinking of dear Margo and wishing you strength.
Hope that Clare has a good day, first day of her new job.
YAY! Today's the day!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Good luck Clare.
Birdies LG DU update.
Good morning -
All ready to leave, just waiting for daughter #1 to collect us and we will be off, firstly to her house to drop off washing that I have done for her (their machine is broken and won't be fixed until Monday)and then to the airport.
Happy to see that ANNETTE and her sister and brother in law have made it safely home and hoping that CLARE enjoys her first day in the new job.
Also fingers crossed that MARGO will make it out to a meal, this weekend.
Take care, all.
Sorry if I have missed Heather. Have a wonderful weekend at the Christening.
