HAPPY NEW WEEK and HAPPY FULL MOON (on Friday).
Last week's Chat thread is here.
I meant to tell you all this story.Early last week, during the very high winds, I had to go north for groceries. I was unloading my shopping and struggling to walk in the gales. I saw R.T. Hawk and his pale mate (the red-tailed hawk pair) riding the thermals together. R.T. started to glide over the creek toward town, and then he saw me watching him. He circled all the way back and flew right toward me. He turned into the wind and pumped his wings, so that he was hovering in one place right above me. He looked at me in the eyes for several seconds! Then he turned and flew on his way. I don't know what made him fly over to see me.I haven't seen any hawk juveniles around this year.

Tomorrow. I'm getting all excited!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
I've got h u n d r e d s of pics for dog lovers......

Great pics, LINDY! Love the 'leg outside'.
CLARE, very best wishes for tomorrow!
LINDY - LOL! When I was clearing out Sheana's kitchen after she went into care, I found a jar of mayonnaise, part used. It was so old that the contents were brown. And she never ever had any kind of tummy upset in all the years I knew her.
I just can't believe the latest news! Prince, dead at 57. RIP.
Agree, CLARE. Hard to believe.
What a shame, and Victoria Wood yesterday, too.
Apart from that, can I say best wishes to Clare for the new job tomorrow. Hope Limpy is feeling better now too.
Sorry, still gardening weather so outside morning and afternoon (part working and part sitting) then out to a talk at the museum this evening - will try a bit of a catch up when the weather changes!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Just watched the BBC film about the Queen, narrated by Prince Charles. So many old cine films shot by the family. Not ashamed to say that I enjoyed the whole programme, although OH chose not to watch it.
My brother phoned, he arrives next Tuesday, day after we return from Shropshire and will stay with us for five days. After that, a quick turn around before our Danish friends arrive.
A busy day here, both OH and I were out this morning, then he spent the afternoon working in the garden and I got on with packing for our weekend away.
Helicopter busy overhead this evening, usually means trouble, someone missing or it could be the ambulance helicopter going out West to bring someone in to hospital here.
AQ- had to chuckle re Miss 4, I have had similar phone calls! Nanna doesn't stand any nonsense LOL.
