We do get the occasional sighting on Exminster so there definitely are otters about the estuary and you are very lucky if you see one. They are generally nocturnal, so people are most likely to catch a glimpse at dawn or dusk. In late summer when the youngsters are about they can be a bit less wary of people and easier to see, but it is still a rare and exciting event!
