Had a fab day out to Topsham in Devon yesterday, where I saw my first sighting of an American Wigeon
On our way to the hide we saw these
Then as we approached the hide at Bowling Green Marsh people were there with there scopes looking out for the American Wigeon the hide was full, we managed to see it from outside with some others looking out on the marsh.
Made my day! :0)
Good pics of the Avocets as well. A good day out indeed.

That was cheating. No wonder you managed to ID the American Wigeon with a red arrow pointing it out painted on the grass!!
