had this chap (or chapesse) visit us today - also had two visitors akin to this about a week ago.
Would appreciated help with identification -
I've put the photos in the gallery as they don't seem to want to appear as inserts into this. (look for Who am I 1-3)
many thanks
cheers, tried all that, methinks web site does not like Macs and Safari. - However the pics are now in the gallery. Nigel
PS look for BredonTigers as user name on the photos
many thanks for the cut & paste. Closest we could id it as was young siskin, but having never seen any in WF9 (Hemsworth) or elsewhere for that matter, we were very unsure.
Hi there
Definite siskin! There seems to be a lot of siskin and crossbill on the move so either could turn up in unusual places over the next couple of months
Cheers
Matthew
Hi - re Safari & Macs - I use both and don't have any probs. I note Treesparrow was having issues with her blog today so maybe that was the problem?
Glad we have established it to be a siskin - I was torn between a young goldfinch and young siskin but jumped the wrong way (Doh!) :-)
Here he is today - taken at 18:44 pm
Lovely pictures! How lucky, getting an interesting juvenile in your own garden! Thanks for sharing them with us.
