Congratulations Are In Order !

Grootings readers !!!

Another nice day today although it was quite windy where I went ... I did manage to see 2 redstarts though!

I was trying to walk off last night's calories you know ...

News from Old Moor today ..

Mr and Mrs Avocet are now the proud parents of 2 wee avocets !! They hatched out on the Wader Scrape so now we must keep our fingers crossed that they manage to grow big and strong .. We just await the arrival of the ones on the Mere now !

Other stuff on the Wader Scrape were 6 redshanks, an oystercatcher, shovelers, 4 common terns and great-crested gebes ..

Reported from Green Lane were a reed warbler, reed buntings, linnets, a sedge warbler and a common blue butterfly ..

The Bird Garden was quite busy with 2 stock doves, bullfinches, greenfinches, chaffinches, goldfinches, great tits, blue tits, a willow tit and tree sparrows all being seen here ...

The Mere had dunlins, ringed plovers and little ringed plovers ..

A pintail was seen on Wath Ings ..

That's all for today chaps .. Hopefully tomorrow will be just as good !

Night everyone ..

Bert xx
