Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.
From Old Moor car park turn right on the roundabout, and then right at the roundabout after that (following A6195 towards Great Houghton). Go straight on at the next roundabout, and left at the next (still following A6195). At the next roundabout after that go straight on, until you get to a large layby on your left. Park here, walk down the bank and you're there - head SE down the gravelly path until you get to the bench for the best views.

Next time you are at Old Moor, ask for a tear off map of the site. On the reverse is a map of the wider Valley with all of the sites marked including Edderthorpe.
