A cold misty day at Old Moor

Arriving at Old Moor on Friday 27th Jan the temperature gauge in the car was showing -1 and it was misty. The day remained cold, however there were many small birds to be seen especially at the feeders in the Bird Garden and Tree Sparrow Farm, but not a lot to been seen from the hides. I dis seen a pair of Little Grebes close to the Reedbed Hide and was entertained for a few minutes by a group of long tailed tits whist sat in the Bittern Hide. The number of Blackbirds, Robins and Bullfinches was noticeable. Despite the cold and grey skies I had a great day at Old Moor.
