Giving Nature a Home in Hemsworth

Thought you might like to see these, we've had 4 in our hardy fuchsia, at the moment the seem to have gone to ground, but they have spent last few days wandering around the back garden. We reckon, but are happy to be corrected, that they are elephant hawk most catepillars.

So around 6 cm long,

enjoying the fuchsia

and so to bed ....

hope you enjoy.

  • Absolutely wonderful captures & I envy you Nigel, have been fruitlessly searching my fuschias for an age!!  There were three in a house opposite about five years ago but the neighbours & their huge fuschias long gone!

I would love to overwinter one of these in order to see Moth emerge!
