Old Moor today 18th March

So I popped down first thing this morning as I'd heard a large bunch of Whoopers had flown in yesterday for a rave. Unfortunately (for me) they were probably halfway to Iceland by the time the Reserve opened. Hey ho.

Still, no visit to OM is ever a bad one so in a relatively short amount of time available I had a quick trot round and these are some of the birds who were there. I was ushered in by a Song Thrush which has taken upon itself the post of Commissionaire, having for several days been singing away in a tree just outside the entrance courtyard. "Roll up, roll up, step right this way"

"Good morning control am I clear for take-off?"

"Thank you control have a nice day"

"And dont forget to call at the Supermarket"

"All quiet on the worm front today"

"Wonder what the grass is like round here?

"Mmm, cool man"

"Think I'll just pop for a bit of fresh air dear"

Thanks for looking

Regards

Ian
