Hi, I wondered what the plans are (if any) for developing the area north of the A635 in Darfield, between there and the A6195 (Park Springs Rd) that leads to Edderthorpe.
I went for a walk there recently along the old railway embankment and noticed signs of activity to the east of the railway - it appeared that someone has been clearing and landscaping the area around the old bends in the river that were cut off when the railway was built.
I gather that RSPB has the management of some areas and I just wondered if there is a map and what might be happening in the coming year(s) there. Just curiosity!

We do have some involvement with the land in that area but as yet we're not in a position to make any announcements over wider plans. It is very much a case of watch this space though...
