My wife and I popped to old moor last Saturday, sorry for the delay in posting this.
Thank you to the very kind and understanding people we shared a hide with, they helped identify what we were looking at.
I chose from all my pictures ,these,I am told a juvenile great black baked gull, feeding ?
It rose from the water, hovered for a short time, then dived in.
It appeared to have something in its beak ?
Both the gull, and I watching had a great time.
Every one we met made us so welcome, offered help and advice readily when we asked, and boy do we need it.
Not a rare species, but my first sighting, and the memories will last my life time,I am sure.
My flickr pictures,my web pictures,Is it better to sit quietly ,and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth, and remove all doubt.
