12^th February 2015 – 13^th February 2015

Archaeology Finds Workshop

Silloth Discovery Centre, 10am-4pm

Following on from the successful sessions last month Grampus Heritage are doing two more days at the Discovery Centre in Silloth to sort out bones and teeth from samples taken from the summer excavation in Abbeytown.

21^st February 2015

Hedgelaying

Wedholme Flow, Nr Kirkbride, 10am-3.30pm

Learn this ancient art of hedgelaying with our expert Ed Kyrk. Equipment and training is provided but be prepared to get dirty and bring a packed lunch.

22^nd February 2015

Charcoal Making

Finglandrigg Wood NNR, 10am – 1pm

Pop along to Finglandrigg and take part in this hands-on activity, making charcoal from birch

14^th March 2015

Landscape Photography on the Solway

RSPB Campfield, Bowness on Solway, 10am – 4pm

Join local landscape photographer, Steve Blake to learn how to photograph the Sowlay landscape. This course is aimed at beginners or people with a little knowledge of photography.

25^th March 2015

Leather Recording Workshop

Tullie House, Carlisle, 2pm-4pm

Join Grampus Heritage and Tim Padley from Tullie House to learn about the process of assessing and recording leather artifacts whilst working with the materials from excavation in the local area.
