Wetlands Management

Led by Norman Holton, Senior Sites Manager, at the RSPB’s
Campfield Marsh Nature Reserve
The day will explore the practicalities of managing a range of different wetlands with a focus on the wildlife utilising these habitats. Beginning with a walk out onto the saltmarsh in the morning, the day will cover the management of wet grassland for breeding waders, ending in the afternoon at the bird hide overlooking Bowness Common peat bog. There will also be an opportunity to enjoy the new interactive exhibits at the Solway Wetlands Centre.
Meeting at RSPB Campfield Marsh at 10am.
Event is free with lunch provided at the Solway Wetlands Centre.
