Hello - This is a rather rushed first post but after a long time with nothing happening on the kestrel nest we came in this morning to find our surprise that the first egg has been layed! Very exciting! So I have switched the web cam over for the time being!
We are still keeping an eye on the buzzard nest so if they do decide to use it we will switch over to them!
But for the time being happy viewing of the kestrels
Michael
Ps - As this has happened quickly the web cam caption will still be for the feeder for a few days until I get the web team to change it over!
Good news - First egg hatched - @2pm - female feeding hatchling with a vole!!
Brilliant - just seen the tiny chick - another vole just brought in :-) Will now probably burn Hub's dinner - will blame you Michael!
Brilliant news - was watching most intently but was called away to urgently take Niece to hospital for checks as she was threatening to start labour prematurely (all's well thank goodness after hanging around for four hours monitoring & various tests!!) All these babies eh?!

Still waiting for a glimpse of this bobblehead - anyone got pics??
Mrs AK sitting tight & hiding him/her!!
WOW - she has two!!...
Slightly indistinct here but I did see two heads moving! Must learn how to capture vids!
Wonderful Wendy thanks. Just seen one little head popping out and Mum gently pushing back under :-)
Is it 2 or 3 chicks now? I may be seeing things but I thought I saw 3?
:-)
You may well have done CR - they are coming thick & fast now it seems - see that Mrs AK is pushing out eggshells now...
Hi everyone:-)
Great news re the first egg hatch - thank you Michael and also to whoever sorted out the cam; it's so much better now and shows them in their true beauty!
2 chicks???!! Just recording the male brought something tasty in and now Mrs will feed.
Definately 2 chicks and can see 2 eggs and a dear little bird of some sort for lunch
