All hell broke loose when I realised it wasn't a sparrowhawk sitting on our garden fence yesterday:
The word WOW seems so inadequate!
EDIT: It's a young cuckoo.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
LOL Clare, as I said on Limpy's thread, I bet you couldn't believe your eyes !! what a fabulous bird to have visit the garden and such beautiful photos taken by both of you; thanks for sharing :) hope it hangs around a little longer before it heads out of the country so get some live mealworms !!
