I put up a new nest box last November and blue tits have been interested to the extent they carefully removed all the shredded paper (provided with the nest box) I had put in. Hubby has just installed a camera for me. The box floor now has poo in it, presumably from the blue tits who were spring cleaning and very likely roosting there some nights.
My question is, should I leave the poo, or would it be better to clean it out? I am worried about doing too much in case I frighten them away. You never know which beady eyes are watching when you get a ladder out!
Cheers, Linda.

Hi Sparrow, How cute is he, or as my 3 yr old put it, so coot.
Hi Janet, Keep your fingers your toes, arms and legs crossed, hopefully something might happen yet.
There is a sufficiency in the world for man's need but not for man's greed.
Thanks for the further picture Sparrow. This is better than watching a ' soap ' on tv. Who will win his heart and how many chicks ? He already has his own house. It is lovely to see that at least one bird is keeping warm and dry.
Oh how lovely Sparrow! I hope he finds a mate and charms her and they raise a family with you :o)
There's no one in my box either, I check it every night just to see. But then again the Blue Tits don't hang around here so I'd have to be very lucky to have the nest here!
Hi Everyone,
Bluey has been lots of times today, removing feathers and poo. Still a lot to go though.
Here is has a feather in his mouth, just about to leave.
and here he has some poo.
