Aldi have these this Thursday.
I have nestcams already but am going to get one to put in a robin box
Hi all, I just got one of these from Aldi today, got it set up ( not on wall yet ) but it only has a scart socket and I want to watch it on my computer, does any one know how to do this as I'm not up with tec stuff ?
My hubby said I can't be watching the birds on TV when he want to watch it. :-( it would look great on my 42"
Hey farmer, farmer, put away the D.D.T now. Give me spots on my apples, but leave me the birds and the bees, please!
Hi Janet,
Well done for getting one so long after the offer day. Mine is bringing me huge pleasure with my roosting bluetit.
I can't answer your question, but I have mine connected to an old portable TV in my office so I can leave it switched all all day. Any old TV will do - it doesn't need to be digital. If you don't have a spare TV you could pick an old non-digital up for next to nothing as they are now obsolete.
Cheers, Linda.
See my photos on Flickr
yeah my Aldi said they had two left.
I just gave my old portable tv away!!, ah but there is a shop in town that sells portable TVs or £10.
Thanks Sparrow
Make sure the old TV has a scart socket - some old ones don't have them.

You need one of these
http://www.amazon.co.uk/LINDY-SCART-Adapter-S-Video-Composite/dp/B000FKP898/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1266308119&sr=8-1
which converts your scart socket to AV
Then you plug your AV leads into a capture device.
I have one of these
http://www.amazon.co.uk/ClimaxDigital-EZCAP-SNAPSHOT-capture-source/dp/B001MH7J7W/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1266308416&sr=1-7
but there are plenty around.
The advantage of one of these devices is you can capture a snapshot and post it here :o)
However Sparrow's cheap tele is a great idea. You could try Freecycle too.
Our group is always advertising these.
Very useful links Dangerous, many thanks for those.
The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!
Hi dangerous,
Thank you for the links, I do have one of snapshot for my other camera.
the thing is i have a male scart on bird box so need a female.
Mmmmmmm then try this one, it has a female scart.
