Hi everybody, it's great looking forward to spring. All my boxes are being investigated but we are moving this year so we have changed all the boxes so that we can take our camera ones away.
So to the point of this post.
ALDI have camera nest boxes for £39.99 this Thursday. I bought two last year and the picture quality is good and the boxes are nice and roomy. Go in spoil yourself........they are great value

I was hoping the budget might stretch to one of each ! We do get an awful lot of birds around here, next to the wood (counted 25 species for BGBW), so hopefully the bird box will be used too. Sparrow Terrace gets used every year by the blue tits (firmly rejected in favour of roof by the sparrows !).
Good luck Bella!
Cheers, Linda.

I might invest tomoorw. :-)
Hi Sparrow
I'm a complete numpty re whether I will need an extra cable or not. I suppose I might have to wait and see.
Thanks for your advice about it though. At least if I know it doesn't work, I might know what I need in order to fix it.
Best wishes Chris

Hi all, you need an audio capture device such as this one
http://www.amazon.co.uk/EasyCAP-Video-Audio-Capture-Card/dp/B0011N9QNC/ref=pd_sxp_grid_pt_2_0
but there are plenty available. You could try Maplins.
This connects to the cable coming from your camera, BEFORE it goes to the TV .....so you have to disconnect it....then on to your computer.
Thus you can view the action on your computer screen and take snapshots as and when. Versions are available for mac and pc.
Hope this helps
Dani
