Hi Everybody,
I have got a small space in my Garden about 3 metres by 2 metres and was wondering if you had any ideas of what I could plant or put there to attract some wildlife to my garden, because at the moment there is only my neighbours tree overhanging our garden and a small tree also our neighbours.
Thank you for any ideas I just want to help the wildlife and see some activity, I put my dogs fur outside and I would love to see a bird build a nest with it in our garden as the fluff does soon disappear.
There are lots of possibilities, depending on what wildlife you want to attract. I have put in some small shrubs plus buddleia, echinacia for bees/butterflies. I grow sunflowers and teasels for the birds to feed on. Honeysuckle and foxgloves are good too and easy to grow.

or if your ambitious, if you have a lawn area, could even try turning a part of it into wildflower meadow
If you have got any pictures of the space that might help us give you a few more ideas. How much light does this patch get, if it's in full sun then a wildlflower meadow might be the way forward, it's great to get a small patch buzzing with bees and insects and they look great as well. If you planted it up with a variety of herbaceous perennials, look for a mix that will provide colour and flowers throughout the spring and summer, Michaelmas daisies, foxgloves, lupins, polemonium, lavender, verbenas and ice plants would be worth looking at to great an attractive bed for insects which may entice birds.
If you wish to create a nesting site for wild birds, look at planting some dense shrubs with prickly foliage like berberris, pyracantha and hawthorn. You could also add some climbers up an obelisk like ivy, honeysuckle, clematis and jasmine. This would create a potential nesting feature when they establish and also attarcts in lots of insects.
Hope this helps, there are loads of things you could do with a space like that though, even a pond!!!
