We have been trying to identify all the wildflowers in the woods at Brockholes Wetland Centre today, and came across this little plant that nobody could identify. I am sure some of you clever people will know what it is.

This has got me stumped at the moment, it looks familiar and i'll kick myself when I figure out what it's called. The flower head looks a bit similar to redshank but the leaves look more like geranium or ranunculus family...hmmm...will report back if I come up with anything!

Sanicle...Sanicula europaea...the pink tinged flower head should turn white when it unfolds.
