Big plans for the garden...

OH has some big plans for the garden this winter...

As I may have mentioned before, our garden slopes downhill quite steeply so isn't really great and makes things like mowing a bit difficult.  going downhill is fine but pushing the lawnmower back uphill is a bit on the awkward side lol.  The other neighbours have all had the garden leveled with a wall (the larger gardens are stepped) and he is thinking of doing the same to ours so it is more useable.  It would also allow more light into the garden too.  The leyendii hedge is also in for the chop as that will give us additional extra space at the bottom of the garden too and I really don't like it, it will be replaced by a fence and some shade-loving climbers and brambles (OH suggested brambles, don't know why but I ain't complaining as I'm sure the garden wildlife will be happy with a prickly cat-free hiding place!).  Coupled with the complete hacking back of the pyracantha hedge (and adding a couple of Holly shrubs to the mix) the garden could be a very different place in the spring!

No idea how much raising the garden is going to cost though lol
