Can anyone offer some further suggestions to Lorraine on the cheapest and easiest way of repairing her pond liner? If you've not already seen the posts under 'Water features' and 'Tiny City Pond' there has been two replies, one from me, the other from AJD Hoggies, suggesting it should be possible to buy a repair kit. Unless of course anyone know differently?

If it is a Butyl liner then there are reliable repair kits but if it is a PVC liner I do suggest you put a new lining in. I have tried all the repair kits available on a PVC liner and have found none that work for long.
You could look out for a pre-formed pond in your local paper. A preformed pond will last for ever and not suffer with the liner splitting. If you are going to reline it you could consider spending a little more and going for a butyl liner. Butyl is a lot stronger than PVC and can be fixed if it gets damaged.
Build it and they will come.
