Yes it is a creeping buttercup and a terrible thing to get rid of. It is very invasive and will strangle smaller plants, I have got it all over my garden and it is a real pest. If you want to get rid of it you have to dig it up but don't leave any bit of root or up it will pop again! Don't compost it either - I did last year and now I have it all over the place as I used the compost as a mulch in spring!!! (you live and learn!!) lol
I don't use weed killers in my garden but someone told me to put vinegar on any weed and it will kill it, but be careful as it kills anything it comes in contact with. I will let you know if it works or not.
Hope that helps.
Chez
You have no control over what life & people throw at you - but you have full control over how you deal with it!
Hi Woodpecker,
Thanks very much for that I really think I should dig It out.It has only been growing for around a month and It's going nuts,I have no Idea where It came from It just appeared.
Chez I am going to get It out asap now I have read your reply Thankyou
I have now dug It out so It didn't end up looking like this field
Thanks again Woodpecker and Chez for your advice.
I have this in my garden and fight to keep it under control. I will read the link given and also see if vinegar works. Thanks for posting this and to the kind people who replied.
I must admit, I think the field looks beautiful!
Kind regards Jane.
