Hi Everyone,
I bought a lovely plant yesterday,It Is a Pulsatilla Vulgaris, the common name is Pasque flower.
The Lady In the shop said It was also known as an Easter plant.
It can be planted In the ground or even In a large pot.I think It Is a pretty flower.

Thankyou Bramble,I am pleased I bought It.
Hi Littleowl, that has just gone onto my "I want..." list. It is a beautiful plant - and a brilliant photo. Many thanks.
The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!
Hi Squirrel,
It Is a perennial,so It should come back year after year.I am also going to try and collect the seeds after flowering and grow some plants of my own,Glad you like It ,thankyou for your comment.:-)
HiI have one of these in my garden and it gets more and more flowers every year. One of my favourites, I have it in a large tub.
Of all creatures, man is the most detestable, he is the only creature that inflicts pain for sport, knowing it to be pain. ~ Mark Twain
Hi JudiM,
Please could you tell me height and width of your tub
Thanks

HiThe tub is 20" high by 12" across narrowing to abount 9" at the bottom. It is deep blue and picks up the colour of the flowers beautifully. My plant isn't in bloom yet probably because of the harsh winter here in the frozen North East even though I cover the pot with bark in the winter for a bit of protection
This plant is also a Bee magnet, you will get some stunning seed-heads as well, so leave the flower when it dies away.
I have a variety called Red Clock, hence the flower is red, but its not out yet.
Nice pics.

Thanks very much for sizes I think I might put mine In a tub I have one large enough.

I read the seed heads are stunning so I will leave them. Also nice to know I have a plant the Bees like.
If you like unusual plants check out gardeningexpress.co.uk. I bought a bicolour buddleja last year for my aunt and is always admired.I have had some lovely plants from them. I don't know how they compare on price, as if I really like something, I just buy it. That's why I will never be rich !!
