TBGBW - IT'S NOT THAT DIFFICULT SURELY. SIMPLY LOOK OUT OF YOUR WINDOW FOR AN HOUR ON SAID DAY AND WRITE DOWN ALL THE BIRDS YOU SEE IN YOUR GARDEN DURING THAT TIME, MAKING A CAREFUL NOTE TO COUNT AS MANY OF ONE SPECIES THAT YOU SEE AT ANY ONE TIME. I'M SURE YOU WON'T GET SHOT FOR MISCOUNTING.
IF YOU CAN'T SIT THEN STAND, IF YOU CAN'T STAND THEN LIE DOWN, IF YOU CAN'T DO ANY OF THESE, DON'T DO IT.
IF YOU WANT TO DO IT ON ONE LEG WITH AN ICE CREAM CONE ON YOUR HEAD, IT'S NOT IN THE RULES THAT YOU CAN'T.
IF THE BIRDS GET SCARED OFF, TRY AGAIN LATER OT RESTART YOUR HOUR WHEN THEY RETURN. THEN NOTE THEM DOWN CAREFULLY ON YOUR SHEET, AS INSTRUCTED, BEFORE SENDING IN.
NO ARRESTS WILL BE MADE FOR FRAUDULENT ENTRIES.
MY GOODNESS! (apologies for caps lock, only just realised it was on) :-D xxx
Thanks for the advice Iggy, but I think most of us on this forum understand the rules. There are always a few new comers who just want matters confirming, and that's one of the reasons we are here - to help if we can.
Cheers, Linda.

As Linda and Alan say, we are always happy to help.
For example, you should be able to see a small pencil below your original post, and if you click on that you will be able to edit your post and not be seen as 'shouting' with your caps lock on. :-)
Best wishes Chris

Thanks for the reminders Iggy!!! You are correct, we are not planning on shooting or arresting anyone if they make a mistake!
Hopefully everyone on here can help those who are a new to the survey learn the ropes, it's a simple format but we would rather people who are unsure of certain things ask on here than not at all! Good luck with the survey!
