Welcome to the RSPB Communities Christmas Advent calendar! Rather than chocolates (sorry), with each day that leads up to the big day, why not open a virtual Advent calendar window and reveal a teaser for you to ponder or post a picture. There is no right or wrong answer, the answers will simply be what you want to appear in that window. It’s Christmas, so let’s have some fun!Claire
Apart from Limpy in his funnier moments? On land, I think the black jaguar is a magnificent animal - in the water, it's got to be the dolphin.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Technically my lovely wife Mrs A is my favourite but of the living outdoors variety I would probably say the Hedgehog.

LOL, Claire!
We're both agreed that it's got to be a garden dormouse.
They are the cutest of things, this was a young one rescued by our neighbour & given to us (we are known as wildlife nuts). We've seen them occasionally but these are our only photos taken in a bowl.
Best wishes

Although I've never seen one in the wild I'll choose Cheetah for it's grace and beauty.
