Hello !
I live on the north Somerset coast in a medium sized town.
I have a small, town garden that attracts quite a lot of various birds as there are 2 large parks and woods very close by.
On Friday (8th Jan) a flock of Redwings and a flock of Fieldfares took up residence in the garden behind me, the Holly tree and the Ivy on the fence, i've been watching them all day since ...... getting nothing done in the house at all !!!
Hey ho :-)
Thank you papete
Frankie
A wierd thing ..... i've not seen them this morning !
They took up residence in a Holly tree and sprawling Ivy, in the garden behind, and they seem to have moved on ..... what a shame :-(

Just glad to help out
Its nice to be important but its more important to be nice
Hi Redwing, welcome to the forum.
We’ve had Redwings and Fieldfares in the garden all during this cold snap; they are clearing the remaining apples and berries. Like Frankie, I have tried to get a photo but the slightest movement and the fly off.
Two days ago we managed to get the car out and drove to our nearest town; I was amazed to see both Redwings and Fieldfares feeding beside the busy road. When we stopped at the traffic lights I was less than five feet from them. At home the closest I can get is 60 or 70 feet.
Build it and they will come.
Thanks Wildlife friendly :-)
Mine are now back again !!!
They disappeared for a day and are now back, although, they're not in the back garden area anymore, i see them in the front of the house now.
