Any one got any thoughts on the RSPB’s central management decision to categorise all their woodland reserves as Category 4…Of no value to the RSPB strategy… and is mothballing (at best) or SELLING (at worst) despite the fact that woodland has, as a resource for nature, been identified as poorly managed nationally and, since the 1970s 70 to 80 percent of the birds living in woodland have been lost to us? A free thoughts come to mind for discussion: 1. RSPB management have forgotten what they are about, 2. Birding ids much more difficult, and therefore not as profitable as it is in Category 1 and 2 reserves… Wetland, Estuarine, Cliff
There are lots of RSPB RESERVES THAT ARE NOT PUBLISUSED.I know what they all are as I did find out llegslly’

Ian.

Hi Thomo, I am not sure that you have read what I said in my post properly. I am talking about the behaviour of the RSPB management and what they are doing to the reserves.
You seem to have missed the point on what I have said Thomo
.
Sorry about the mistake. My iPhone and iPad keep freezing. But hopefully this might help. As I’m having prob stmt the moment sending links. But in this photo you can see map and there is also access to a list of published and not published from this photograph of the mine nd the web address also mentioned.
I am sorry, I am clueless as to what your response has to do with the massive issue relating to conservation of wildlife in the woodland reserves owned by the RSPB. I will say it again….the RSPB. Has classified ALL woodland reserves as having NO IMPORTANCE. Is there anybody out there other than me that is utterly appalled at what the RSPB senior management is about to do.

Hello Andrew,
To fully grasp your concerns, which I've no doubt are with good reason, are you able to share the document text with those interested, so we can fully grasp what is being put on the table, or even action taken.

Thank you, I'll have a read later.
I’m shocked by Abernethy reclassified. So maybe more members might want to register for the AGM . I’ve seen this slowly but surely build up to this with a number of senior positions disapear. And sadly more jobs to go as well?
